Airbus A320neo
Familiar proportions, a new engine generation.
Original stylised recognition graphic. Not a scale plan or an archival photograph.
Why it matters
The A320neo is the new-engine-option member of the A320 family. Airbus records the first delivery to Lufthansa in January 2016. It is a single-aisle passenger aircraft, with seating depending on the cabin layout.
Look closely
Think in families before trying to identify every suffix. Nose shape, doors, fuselage length and wingtip details are clues; a registration lookup is a better final check than confidence alone. Airport distance and viewing angle can make similar aircraft surprisingly hard to separate.
Keep the variant attached
The comparison here is specifically A320neo. Its published maximum operating Mach is a limit, not a normal cruise recommendation. We retain that distinction and use the live Airbus product table for range, rather than silently mixing a different edition of a factsheet.
