Why it matters
The A350-900 entered airline service in January 2015. Airbus presents it as a twin-aisle long-haul aircraft. It belongs to a family with other versions, including the longer -1000, and published capabilities depend on configuration.
Look closely
Stand back from the model or exhibit and look at the span relative to the fuselage. A widebody needs space for people, baggage and systems as well as aerodynamic surfaces. That is why a capacity number tells only part of the design story.
Reading a manufacturer table
Our comparison uses the key-figures table on Airbus’s A350-900 page. Other parts of that page discuss different range capabilities. We record the table value explicitly and do not swap in the largest marketing number or treat it as the range of a particular flight.
