Concorde, BA passenger configuration
Speed changed the shape of the entire experience.

Why it matters
British Airways’ first Concorde commercial service flew to Bahrain on 21 January 1976. Its configuration carried 100 passengers, with a published cruise speed of Mach 2. BA withdrew the type in October 2003.
Look closely
The slender fuselage and narrow delta-wing planform give the aircraft an unmistakable outline. Compare that outline with the broad triangle of the Vulcan: both use a delta, but the proportions and intended tasks differ.
More than a speed contest
Supersonic travel invites a bigger question: what are you prepared to trade for a shorter journey? Cabin space, routes and the operating environment belong in the conversation. A fast aircraft is an engineering achievement; understanding it requires looking beyond the headline.
